About the Artist

Lynne Mapp Drexler is a painter associated with the second generation of abstract expressionist artists that emerged in the latter half of the 1950s, a group which included Larry Rivers, Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, Joan Mitchell, Robert Goodnough, and Grace Hartigan. Her major influences included her teachers Robert Motherwell and Hans Hoffman.
